| Wonder of the World - The Great Wall of China |
- This great Wall was built mainly of earth and stone. It was 176 feet thick, between 20 and 40 feet high and over 1400 miles long. It was raised in the 3rd century B.C. as a defence against the northern Mongols. It is the longest wall in the world.
