Civil War (England):
- King Charles-1 of England used absolute power because he believed in the Divine Rights of Kings. This led to an armed conflict in 1649. The King was defeated and executed by Cromwell who led the parliament Party. The Country was proclaimed a Republic kingship and hereditary House of Lords were abolished.
