Photosphere
This is the visible surface of the Sun and has
a temperature of about 5500 C°. Photosphere means glow of light. It is so
bright that to observe it directly through a telescope. even with darkened lenses,
can cause blindness. Although it looks solid, in fact it is made of gas. The
photosphere rotates. With bands in different latitudes moving at different
speeds.
