In Pakistan there are vie regions, which are comparatively rich in minerals. Five regions are comparatively rich in minerals (The SaltRange and Makarwaal region (rock salt, gypsum and coal) the Pothwar Plateau (oil); north — east Baluchistan and adjacent parts of Waziristan (coal,chromate and marble); Lower Indus Plain (natural gas and coal); and Chitral (iron).
