THEORY OF SPACE
Modern theories of the universe are based on the flight of galaxies i.e.
on the assumption that matter is an state of rapid expansion. All theories of
universe week to explain the nature and consequences of this expansion.

Herman Bondi and Fred Hoyle. It is also known as the continuous creation-
theory. According to this theory galaxies recede from one another but their
spatial . density remains constant. That means. as old galaxies move apart_ new
galaxies are being formed in the vacancies. These new galaxies are formed.from
new matter which is being continuously created to replace old matter that is
being dispersed.
